Tillie Meekins

Tillie B. Meekins age 94 of Houston, Texas passed away July 29, 2021 in Houston, Texas. Tillie was born on April 3, 1927 near Flatonia to the late Adolph Boehm and O'Tillia Ducho. She graduated from Brackenridge Hospital School of Nursing with a Nursing Degree and in later years she worked at Lafayette General Hospital for 10 plus years. She is preceded in death by her husband-Thomas F. Meekins, one- daughter Dale Lutgring, one-grand-son- Jeffrey Meekins, 3 brothers- Adolph C. "AC" Boehm, Leon "Beets" Boehm and David Boehm. Tillie is survived by one son-Jeff Meekins and wife Trisha of Houston, Tx., one daughter-Laura Awad and husband Elias of Granada Hills, Ca., one brother-Roland Boehm of LaGrange, Tx., 4 grand-children-April Ashley-Augustine of Mansfield, Tx., Terri Lutgring of Lake Charles, La., Lisa Awad Hartley and Danielle Awad of Canoga Park, Ca., 6 great-grand-children- Joshua, Jakob, and Joseph Ashley, Alita Alderson, Logan Jr. and Wyatt Hartley. Pallbearers-Joshua, Jakob and Joseph Ashley, Douglas Boehm, Tim Foeh and Donovan Alderson. Honorary Pallbearers-Danielle Awad, Lisa Awad Hartley, Terri Lutgring, April Ashley-Augustine, Logan Hartley, and Travis Boehm. Visitation will start at 5:00 pm Wednesday, August 4, 2021 followed by a rosary at 6:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home-Moulton. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Moulton with Father Gabriel Maison officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
