Valentine Castillo Ramirez, 71, of Moulton, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, Texas. Cremation Rites are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Moulton, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton. Valentine was born on February 14, 1944 in Flatonia, Texas. He was the son of Gabriel and Geronima (Castillo) Ramirez. He worked as a painter until his retirement. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed going for rides on his motorcycle. He is survived by three sons; Chris Ramirez and his wife, Susan of Buda, Texas, Val Ramirez, Jr. and his wife, Mandy of Moulton, Texas, Michael Ramirez and his wife, Danielle of Moulton, Texas, two daughters; Lora Ramirez married to Crist Guzman of Moulton, Texas, Cynthia Ramirez of Moulton, Texas, six grandchildren; Orion Ramirez, Brandon Ramirez, Gavin Ramirez, Brooke Mora, Ryder Ramirez, Madison Camacho, five brothers; Gabriel Ramirez, Jr. and his wife, Carmen of San Antonio, Texas, Matthew Ramirez of Houston, Texas, Felix Ramirez and his wife, Debbie of Waelder, Texas, Jacinto Ramirez and his wife, Gloria of Dallas, Texas, Ernest Ramirez and his wife, Elida of Houston, Texas, five sisters; Chavela Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas, Cindy Martinez of San Antonio, Texas, Cleo Nieto and her husband, Roy of Moulton, Texas, Lupe Delgado and her husband, Frank of Pearland, Texas, Beatrice Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas, two sisters-in-law; Amelia Ramirez of McAllen, Texas, and Vera Ramirez of Flatonia, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; Gabriel and Geronima Ramirez, three brothers; Simon Ramirez, Lalo Ramirez, Tivo Ramirez, one sister-in-law; Frances Ramirez, three brothers-in-law; Marty Martinez, Manuel Ramirez, and Daniel Padilla.
