Victor Louis Krejci, 97, died in Missouri City, Texas on May 24, 2021. Victor was born in Moulton, Texas on August 5, 1923 to Joseph and Emily Krejci and grew up in Moulton with his three siblings Alvin, Della Simper and Rosalie Bohuslav. Victor married Elenora Pilat on April 21,1943. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1949 and earned a Masters in Education from Southwest Texas State University. Victor worked in various capacities as a teacher, coach and sports official. He served as Superintendent of LaVernia ISD and was later elected President of the Texas Association of School Administrators after his membership on their executive committee from 1976-1981. He completed his career with the Texas Education Agency as an Assistant Deputy Chief. Victor had a great love for football, basketball, track, and especially baseball. He played baseball into his early forties for many city teams including the Shiner Clippers and was inducted into the South Central Texas Old Timers Baseball Hall of Fame. He was a beloved coach to many athletes and will forever be known as "Coach" by athletes and students alike. Additionally, Victor served as a signalman in the US Navy during World War II. One of Victor's greatest qualities was his generous spirit towards family and friends especially to the children in the form of "mad money". He was affectionately known more recently as "Big Pa" and proudly shared his Czech heritage along with his love for the University of Texas Longhorns. Victor is survived by his daughter, Cindy Kral, grandchildren, Kevin Kral and wife Charisse Kral, Denae Hebert and husband Allen Hebert, Rebecca Bogard and husband Adam Bogard, great grandchildren, Jessica Peters and husband Zach Peters, Rachel Hebert, Ellen Lively and husband Jarrod Lively, Casey Kral, Victoria Valdez and husband Ben Valdez, Robert Hebert, Peter Hebert, Madeline Bogard, Therese Hebert, Olivia Bogard, Henry Hebert, James Hebert, Joseph Hebert, and great- great grandchildren, Leayden Kral and Axyl Peters. He is also survived by his sister Rosalie Bohuslav and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Emily Krejci, wife, Elenora Pilat Krejci, brother, Alvin Krejci and wife Ethel, sister, Della Simper, brother - in-law, Bill Simper, brother- in-law, Herman Bohuslav, and son-in-law, Jim Kral. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, TX, with Father Gabriel Maison officiating Viewing at 9:00 am, Rosary 9:30 am, Funeral Mass at 10:00 am with reception following in the Parish hall.
