Willie Pilat

Willie Pilat, 96, of Moulton, TX passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023.  He was born May, 16, 1927 in Moulton, TX to Albert Pilat and Mary Koncaba.  Willie and his wife, Mildred, owned the Pilat Supermarket in Moulton, TX for 59 years.

Willie is survived by daughter Marjorie Firasek of Rosenberg, TX; son Calvin Pilat and wife Karen of Moulton, TX; 5 grandchildren: Kimberly Mendoza, Amy Firasek, Quenton Pilat, Dustin Pilat and Ann Heller and 15 great grandchildren.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents; wife Mildred Kolar Pilat, daughter Mary Patek; son-in-laws Ervin Patek and Benjamin Firasek; grandson Matthew Patek; 6 brothers  and 4 sisters.

Visitation for Willie will be from 4:30-6:30 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home in Moulton, TX.  A rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton, TX with a funeral mass following at 10:00 AM, officiated by Father Gabriel Maison.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Moulton, TX.
