Zoey Christina Donna Sturm, age 18, passed away on November 20, 2024, after an unexpected accident. She was born on November 6, 2006, in Houston, Texas.
Zoey was looking forward to graduating from Moulton High School in the spring and was planning on majoring in Architecture in college at Texas State.. Zoey was confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church just last year. She loved Big Red floats, playing soccer when the opportunity would arise, and spending time with her friends. She had fun entering the Miss Moulton contest, she went to State in UIL Ready Writing and loved to paint. She enjoyed making money at various jobs so she could buy gifts for people. For such a young girl, she had many jobs, FeatherRock Convention Center, Rocky Creek Corn Maze, Dairy Queen, McDonald’s, and most recently, you may have seen her working at Roberts’s Steakhouse. She loved the independence that making her own money afforded her. Talk about independence, now that she was 18, she wanted to build her credit, opened her own bank account, saved up money for a down-payment on a car and had already taken out a loan last week to finance the rest. She was so proud; she drove her new car all the way home from Dallas just last weekend.
Zoey is survived by her parents, Kevin and Donna Sturm, and her twin brother Zachary Sturm, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents Ray and Anita Sturm and Bill and Annie Steinocher. She also leaves behind her special friend Austin Obregon, who brought so much joy to her life.
A visitation for Zoey will begin at 5:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 601 N. Pecan St. in Moulton, Tx with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM.
A mass will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton, Tx with a service to follow at the Resurrection Chapel.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Moulton High School Class of 2025. All who know Zoey are welcome to attend.
Zoey loves flowers and loves giving little gifts to people to lighten their spirit. So in honor of her beautiful spirit of giving, please send flowers to someone you love, to someone who is having a bad day, or to someone just to make them smile.
Zoey, you brought so much love and joy to our lives. Now you are our bright star in heaven.
