Obituary

Della A. (Hajek) Bartos was born on November 24, 1931 in Praha, TX to Angelina Havrda Hajek and Henry Hajek. She passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Flatonia, TX. She was a hard worker all her life. When she was young she picked cotton in the fields with her family. As she got older she worked for Joe Grieve Grocery as a checkout clerk and Prototype Machine where she worked until her retirement. Della enjoyed spending her free time on the farm with her animals and garden. She also loved to spend time at the convenience store with her cup of coffee scratching lotto tickets. She loved her coffee! When she wasn't enjoying those things you could catch her on her sister Annie's front porch playing dominos or in Moulton with her sisters playing bingo. Della loved her family with all her heart. She loved to pick her grandkids up from school and spoil them with treats, and on Sundays she would make big meals so all the family could enjoy and spend time together. She was a devout Catholic and was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include daughter Dolores Labay of Schulenburg, son Anton Bartos of Angleton, son Louis L. Bartos and wife Lilla of Flatonia, four grandchildren, Kevin Bartos and wife Anna of Moulton, Taryn Trussell and husband John of Flatonia, Shane Bartos of Schulenburg, and Cortney Bartos of Angleton, five great grandchildren, Jaxon Bartos, Jalee Trussell, Gunner Trussell, Tyler Bartos, and Lincoln Bartos, and two sisters Rosie Koncaba of Flatonia, and Emma Welfel of Yoakum. She was preceded in death by her husband Adolph Bartos, sons George Bartos and James Bartos, son in law David Labay, grandchild Kelsey Labay, parents Henry and Angelina Hajek, brothers Henry Hajek and Adolf Hajek, and sisters Annie Bartos and Lillie Vanicek.
